Terms of Use Agreement

The owner of the website www.coveryou.in is Alexa Insurance Broker Pvt. Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as CoverYou). The Indian Insurance Regulator, the Insurance Regulatory and Development Authority of India, has granted Alexa Insurance Broker Pvt. Ltd. a broking licence with the IRDAI License No. 825, which is valid until: 08/06/2025. Through CoverYou, CoverYou offers users resources and tools to make comparing and purchasing insurance coverage simple.

You understand and agree to accept and abide by the following terms of use as stated in this policy (hereinafter referred to as the "ToS Agreement"), along with the terms and conditions as stated in our Privacy Policy, by visiting CoverYou and using the information, resources, services, products, and tools we provide.

As soon as you visit our website, our Terms of Service Agreement goes into force. Your continuing use or use of CoverYou constitutes your acceptance of the revised or modified ToS Agreement, which we retain the right to make at any time, in our sole discretion, and without prior notice.

Using CoverYou

By visiting our website and accessing the information, resources, services, products, and tools we provide for you (hereafter referred to as 'Resources'), you agree to use these Resources only for the purposes intended as permitted by the terms of this ToS Agreement, and/or applicable laws, regulations, and generally accepted online practices or guidelines.

Wherein, you understand that:

  • In order to access our Resources, you may be required to provide certain information about yourself (such as name, address, contact details, car registration and purchase details, identity proof such as Aadhar ID, etc.). You agree that any information you provide will always be accurate, correct, and updated.

  • By providing your information you explicitly authorize us to access on your behalf your records from the competent authority, such as Aadhar, RTO, etc. for the purpose of facilitation of your transaction with us.

  • You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of any login information associated with any account you use to access our Resources. Accordingly, you are responsible for all activities that occur under your account/s.

  • Accessing (or attempting to access) any of our Resources by any means other than through the means we provide is strictly prohibited. You specifically agree not to access (or attempt to access) any of our Resources through any automated, unethical or unconventional means.

  • Engaging in any activity that disrupts or interferes with our Resources, including the servers and/or networks to which our Resources are located or connected, is strictly prohibited.

  • Attempting to copy, duplicate, reproduce, sell, trade, or resell our Resources is strictly prohibited.

  • You are solely responsible for any consequences, losses, or damages that we may directly or indirectly incur or suffer due to any unauthorized activities conducted by you, as explained above, and may incur criminal or civil liabilities.

User Generated Content

On our website, we might offer different public communication options including blog comments, blog posts, open chat, forums, message boards, newsgroups, product ratings and reviews, various social networking services, etc. You are aware that we do not pre-screen the content uploaded by users of these different communication tools, thus it is your duty to utilise these tools responsibly and ethically if you want to do so in order to contribute any kind of content to our website ("user produced content"). By utilising the aforementioned open communication technologies to post information or in any other way, you undertake to refrain from uploading, posting, sharing, or otherwise disseminating any material that:

  • Is illegal, threatening, defamatory, abusive, harassing, degrading, intimidating, fraudulent, deceptive, invasive, racist, or contains any type of suggestive, inappropriate, or explicit language;

  • Infringes on any trademark, patent, trade secret, copyright, or other proprietary right of any party;

  • Impersonates any person or entity, including any CoverYou employees or representatives.

We take no responsibility for any user-generated content that you or other third-party visitors to our website submit. We reserve the right, in our sole discretion, to delete any content that, in our opinion, violates this ToS Agreement as well as any content that is offensive, hurtful, objectionable, inaccurate, or infringes on the intellectual property rights of third parties.

Any user generated content posted by you using any open communication tools on our website becomes the property of CoverYou, provided that it does not violate or infringe on any third party copyrights or trademarks, and grants us a perpetual, irrevocable, worldwide, royalty-free, exclusive licence to reproduce, modify, adapt, translate, publish, publicly display, and/or distribute as we see fit. This only pertains to and applies to the described user-generated content. Our Privacy Policy applies to all user Personal Information given as part of the registration or purchase process (click here to read).

IPR and Copyright

All content and resources available on CoverYou, including but not limited to text, graphics, website name, code, photos, and logos, are either CoverYou's intellectual property or licenced for use by CoverYou and are protected by applicable copyright and trademark legislation. Unless specifically permitted by CoverYou, any inappropriate use, including but not limited to the reproduction, distribution, display, or transmission of any content on this site, is strictly forbidden.

Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold CoverYou, its parent company, officers, subsidiaries, affiliates, successors, assigns, directors, officers, agents, service providers, suppliers, and employees harmless from any claim or demand made by any third party due to or arising out of the user's content, use of the service, violation of the ToS, or breach by the user of any of the representations and warranties set forth herein.

Limitation of Warranties

By using our website, you acknowledge and agree that all Resources provided by us are provided "as is" and "as available." This means that we make no representations or warranties to you that:

  • The use of our Resources will meet your needs or requirements,

  • The use of our Resources will be uninterrupted, timely, secure or free from errors,

  • The information obtained by using our Resources will be accurate or reliable, and

  • Any downloads from CoverYou will not harm your computer or device in any way.

CoverYou accepts no liability in relation to or arising out of the Website Information and suggestions to the fullest extent permissible by law. You must make the final decision on your goods. If you have any questions or concerns about your product, please contact CoverYou or the appropriate partner insurance companies before purchasing it. Furthermore, CoverYou makes no guarantees as to when or whether you will actually have the product you have chosen, and accepts no liability for any delay in your obtaining the product you have chosen. You recognise and accept that the policy's final issuance is subject to the underwriting standards and sole discretion of the insurance company whose policy you have decided to purchase.

Limitation of Liability

You expressly acknowledge and agree that any claim you may have against us is limited to the amount you paid, if any. Cover You will not be held liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, or exemplary loss or damages caused as a result of your use of our resources.

UNLESS OTHERWISE EXPRESSED, CoverYou EXPRESSLY DISCLAIMS ALL WARRANTIES AND CONDITIONS, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING, BUT NOT LIMITED TO, IMPLIED WARRANTIES AND CONDITIONS OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.

Governing Law

This TOS Agreement and the Privacy Policy shall be governed and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of India, and the courts of Delhi shall have exclusive jurisdiction over all matters and disputes arising out of or pertaining to the Site.
