\u201cWhen does this end?\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n

The doctor had been practising for years. He had handled difficult cases, long hours, and outcomes that required patience. He was not unfamiliar with pressure.<\/p>\n

But this was different.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The situation had no clear timeline. No escalation, no resolution. Just a sequence of steps that kept extending – one response leading to another, one clarification opening space for more questions.<\/p>\n

Nothing was technically wrong.<\/p>\n

And yet, nothing was finished.<\/p>\n

The doctor wasn\u2019t asking about a case.
\nHe was asking about a state of being.<\/p>\n

The constant alertness.
\nThe need to choose words carefully.

Eventually, things do settle.
