This move creates new doors of opportunity for trauma surgeons who have long been waiting to take their rightful place in the world of super-specialized surgical services.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">For years, entrance to these prestigious MCh programs was limited to candidates holding MS\/DNB degrees in General Surgery or Otorhinolaryngology. By opening eligibility to MS Traumatology degree holders, the NMC recognizes the rigorous training and invaluable skills these individuals have to offer to surgery practice. Interim approval by the Postgraduate Medical Education Board has opened the door to this extension, awaiting ratification in the form of Post-Graduate Medical Education (Amendment) Regulations, 2025.
